About us

History

Chakra group started its business with a tea plantation in west Java named Dewata. This tea plantation was the embryo of the group which is now focusing on tea production and trading.
Chakra now owns six plantations with tea as its main crop.
The Dewata tea plantation was bought by the late Mr. Badruddin in 1956 from a Dutch company Tiedeman van Kerchem and the son, Mr. Rachmat Badruddin, had taken over the management in 1990 when his father passed away.
Each company has been making its contribution to the growth of the group which is now managed by PT. KABEPE CHAKRA.

Chakra is attempting to be a World Class company in the field of agribusiness backed up by a total management systems. Focusing on tea, Chakra has the potentials to expand its core and grow to related diversifications either through direct own investments, joint-ventures and / or extend services to other parties.

Mission

Chakra is to effectively exploit global market, yet local market is fundamental to its success. This is for the benefits of the shareholders and the community in general. Chakra is geared to be ahead in creating synergy within the industry, to enhance its strength to capitalize the oncoming privatization program process of the government owned estates.

Values

The group is to adhere to all legitimate laws and regulations where ever it operates, to the highest ethical manner. The group recognizes that its human resources are the most valuable asset thus to endeavor in maintaining the quality of life of their employees.
